New weed management resources

A triplet of new weed management resources

GROW (Getting Rid Of Weeds) growiwm.org/ is an information source on integrated weed management (IWM) out of the USA.  It is a very active project with regular posts / emails, with lots of really practical information.  They have recently pulled together resources on where the USA is at with harvest weed seed control (HWSC) mostly using hammer mills.  Well worth subscribing to.

ACDC weeds acdc-weeds.info/ is a European research project looking at applying and combining disturbance and competition for an agroecological management of creeping perennial weeds.  So a very tight focus but one of the biggest challenges in weed management, both chemical and non-chemical.

OPER8 Inventory inventory.oper-8.eu/  is an inventory of alternative weed control methods. This is based on the integrated weed management (IWM) structure proposed in the paper “An integrated weed management framework: A pan-European perspective”  . It mostly links to journal publications that have come out of the large IWM research projects undertaken in the EU.
