Cornelia comes from a family of farmers as far back as she can trace it. Farming is in her blood and she feels at home milking her cow, growing organic food for her family and running KoruKai Herb Farm on Banks Peninsula. She is also a scientist at heart and wants to know the whys and hows of farming, which made her complete a certificate in Organic Horticulture in 2012 and continue her education with Dr Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web School in 2018. She has done training in Holistic Management and holds a Permaculture Design Certificate. A Master’s Degree in Integrative Learning enables her to weave her vast knowledge together to run easy-to-understand and fun workshops.
At the BHU she shares her passion for biological and regenerative farming with the students. She teaches compost making, soil fertility, soil food web interactions, and the use of liquid fertilisers and biological stimulants.
