The BHU Future Farming Centre
The BHU Future Farming Centre is dedicated to the science and extension of permanent and whole-system agricultures and horticultures, such as organic agriculture, ecological agriculture, agroecology, and biological farming, for the benefit of all farmers and growers.
The FFC has three main areas of activity: research, extension and consulting, thus offering farmers and growers all the services they need to help them optimise their production systems.
Lincoln University
Has been teaching agriculture for 140 years. But as New Zealand’s economy has grown ever more diverse, they have kept pace. They offer a perfect balance of credibility, experience and future-focus with a range of specialised areas, which include agriculture, horticulture, winemaking and grape-growing, business, property and valuation, environmental management, tourism, sport and recreation and landscape architecture.
Bio-Protection
Focus on fundamental research into natural, sustainable ways of protecting New Zealand from plant pests, diseases and weeds.
Their aim is to develop sustainable pest management solutions that will help New Zealand’s plant-based primary production to flourish, while maintaining the pristine natural environment.
