John is passionate about worms and what these subterranean beasties can do for us in the garden. John has been teaching the Vermiculture (study of Worms) module at the BHU at Lincoln University for many years. He combines extensive experience of gardening and horticultural practices from England and New Zealand. John owns a Horticultural Consultancy Practice and lives on a lifestyle block in Greendale, Canterbury.
The Vermiculture module is designed to give students the confidence to start their own worm farm, and what to do to attract worms naturally to their land. The sessions are a two or three hour mix of enlightening theory and hands-on practical work, with interactive questions and answers.
